Welcome to the Wiki for books and resources with a multi-cultural focus.
Getting Started
Click on the page title to the left that contains the book list to which you are adding resources.
Click on the "edit" button in the upper right hand corner.
Add the text which includes the title, author, illustrator (if appropriate), publisher, copyright date and suggested grade levels.
Include a very short summary of the book and a teacher note if you feel it would be helpful for people to know more about the book, how to use it in the classroom, and anything that a teacher might need to know before using the book in the classroom such as language or uncomfortable situations.
In addition to the summary and other information you should include some thoughts about how this book is related to one or more of the following themes:
Family Relationships
Overcoming Adversity
Peer Relationships
Community Engagment
Historical Fiction
Put your name in ( ) at the end of the book summary.
You may add a picture of your book if you wish. You can do this by downloading a picture of the book (I use Amazon to get them) onto you your computer. Then using the "file" button select the picture file and add it to your book summary.
Make sure that when you are finished with your additions to the Wiki page that you click the "SAVE" button!
